Get ready to dust off your cowboy boots and join us for the 136th Maffra Show on Saturday, October 24th! This year’s event embraces a thrilling Saddle Up Country and Western theme, promising a full day of traditional agricultural celebrations and country charm. Proudly sponsored by Community Bank Maffra & District, the show offers affordable fun for the whole family, with free entry for children under 18 and adult tickets available for just $10.
Throughout the day, you can enjoy a wide variety of quintessential country attractions. Highlights include thrilling horse events, impressive livestock competitions, live music running from 11AM to 7PM, and the naming of the Maffra Show Personality. When it's time to refuel, head over to the Wellington Shire Food and Entertainment Court to sample a delicious variety of local food and drink offerings.
As the sun sets, the excitement steps up a notch with our action-packed Night Time Carnival. Families can head to the dedicated Kidz Zone, watch the fan-favorite Dog High Jump, or cheer on locals in the Farmers Games and the Maffra Community Sports Club Maffra Mile and children's sprints. Thrill-seekers won't want to miss the high-flying Mad Style Moto motorbike stunts or the chaotic destruction of the Brian Daly Smash Up Derby. The entire celebration will wrap up with a spectacular grand finale—the Maffra Medical Centre Fireworks Display.
Note that Carnival Day is Saturday 23rd October, with all the fun kicking off at 9am going through to the Night Carnival finishing up after the fireworks at approximately 9:30pm.
Other days are agricultural days and start from 8am.
