Ride the Rail Trail: Cowwarr to Heyfield Return

The Heyfield Adventure Hub presents Ride the Rail Trail, a 22 km gentle ride from Cowwarr to Heyfield return, showcasing the beautiful Gippsland countryside along the way. Riders will be accompanied by friendly hosts who will bring the trail to life with stories of its history, development and diverse landscapes surrounding the route. 

Ride the Rail Trail Itinerary

• Meet at the Rail Trail crossing in the Main Street of Cowwarr and ride as a group to Heyfield
• Morning tea at Quick Cuppa & More
• Return bike ride to Cowwarr
• Shuttle bus available - a shuttle bus will be available to transfer riders from Heyfield back to Cowwarr if required and to provide assistance in the event of bike breakdown.

For everyone's safety, all riders must:

• Bring a well-functioning bicycle suitable for the 22 km ride
• Be physically fit and capable to ride a bike and a minimum of 10 km 
• Wear a bicycle helmet at all times
• Carry a water bottle and any additional snacks required with them on the trail
